This is the first glass piece I made at ArtNETT Studios.
When I visited my grandparents halfway through college, I asked my grandmother to teach me how to make stained glass in her studio, and this was the first piece I made. It's still one of my favorite pieces of art that I've made.
Glass has to be cut in a particular way so it doesn't break, and the flowing shapes of my grandmother's floral artwork reminded me of the Disney animated movie Beauty and the Beast. I sketched the art piece to size, then cut each piece of glass based on my template and wrapped each piece in copper foil before soldering everything together.
