This is one of many social animations I designed for the UF Alumni page for the fourth annual Gator Nation Giving Day.
Every year in February, UF Advancement and Annual Giving host a campus-wide event known as Stand Up and Holler: Gator Nation Giving Day, where Gator students and alumni are asked to donate a gift to a college or unit that they support. The tradition follows the chant from one of the biggest Gator fans, fondly known as Mr. Two Bits, who used to cheer, "Two Bits! Four Bits! Six Bits! A Dollar! All for the Gators, stand up and holler!" Everyone who donates a dollar or more on Giving Day receives a gift from our department - stickers, lapel pins, pennants, pocket folders, and more. I was responsible for designing almost all of the social media posts for this fundraising event, so I decided to make a series of animations for each of the giveaways throughout the day.
This is the 5:30 pm animation for the two sticker packs made by our team of designers. The animations were extremely well-received, with our social accounts bringing in about 17% of the gifts made throughout the day. They also contributed to UF Advancement winning both a regional and state-level Florida Public Relations Association “Image Award” for the “Stand Up and Holler: Gator Nation Giving Day” social media content and strategy.
